Deregulation again hammers taxpayers
Milton Friedman, a highly regarded international economic professor from the University of Chicago, created laissez-faire capitalism — removing regulations to free them in making money. Milton arose to influential power due to the support of the Reagan regime and was invited to many countries to demonstrate how to bring their economies under control.

Don’t be blinded by party affiliation
We can return America to everything our nation’s founders wanted it to be through our combined efforts in our communities and at the ballot box. We must forget the principle of voting for a candidate on strictly party lines and choose people who have moral integrity and are committed to abide by the constitution. The current theft of taxpayer money and assets to bail out a few financial institutions is criminal and our Congress is allowing this to take place.

Deregulation is an economy killer
Mark Twain once said, “A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes.” Today, there’s a whopper on the move, and it seems the truth isn’t even out of bed yet.

Letter authors are writing lies on Palin
It is appalling to me the way that Gov. Sarah Palin has been attacked by the news media. Reporters who I once respected joined in the attack. Yet, other candidates have not been treated to the same scrutiny. Is it because those good old boys are fearful that Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin will succeed in their promise to reform?

We don’t need an attack president
Should John McCain be elected president, his staff and cabinet could contain many of Bush’s inner circle. To those of you who are thinking about voting for McCain, are you prepared for four more years of Karl Rove, Scooter Libby and their kind? Ask not what they can do for their country, but what they can steal from their country and its citizens. That’s their motto.
