Coos Bay

Police officers arrested a Coos Bay man on an Oregon State Police warrant for charges including failure to register as a sex offender after breaking up a loud party Friday.

According to a Coos Bay Police report, the party was reported at 3:48 a.m. at 389 Cammann St.

Police took Ian Bannon, 25, into custody on warrant charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants and failure to register as a sex offender.

Bannon was taken to Coos County jail and released on his own recognizance.

Police arrested John F. Barber, 65, of Coos Bay on a charge of fourth-degree domestic assault Friday morning. The arrest followed a report at 10:47 a.m. of a possible domestic assault at 1096 Commercial Ave., according to a Coos Bay Police report.

He was taken to Coos County jail and released on his own recognizance.

North Bend

North Bend police arrested Melissa Lucas, 26, of Coos Bay on two counts of interfering with a 911 report, two counts of domestic assault, resisting arrest and attempted assault of a public safety officer.

The incident was reported at 1:27 p.m. Sunday, and Lucas was taken to Coos County jail, where she remained this morning on $90,000 bail, police and jail officials reported.
