He was all rooster.

Coquille police officers went out into the community to find a “vicious chicken at large” on Friday. A caller phoned dispatchers at 1:34 p.m. complaining about the fowl situation at a location near North Fir and West 18th streets.

“I believe (officers) went out looking for it and couldn’t find it,” Coquille Police Record Specialist Kim Holderfield said this morning.

Holderfield said the unidentified woman escaped the attack with only a scratch.

“Those roosters can be pretty mean,” Holderfield said.
