Youth bowling leagues are starting soon at North Bend Lanes.

Two leagues have been set up for junior bowlers.

The Saturday All-Stars meets weekly at 11:30 a.m., starting on Sept. 27.

The Monday juniors meets at 4 p.m. and starts on Sept. 29.

Each junior program runs for eight weeks. Age groups are from 7 to 17.

The fees are a $10 registration fee to the United States Youth Bowling Congress, which pays for individual awards and makes juniors eligible for state and local scholarship money, and a $6 weekly bowling fee.

Bumper bowling:The bumper bowling program kicks off on Sept. 25 and 26 at 4 p.m. The cost for the six-week program is $35 and includes prizes, shoes, bowling, music and fun. Space is limited.

High school:The North Bend and Marshfield high school teams have started early practice.

Both teams practice on Tuesdays. The sessions are free for all students joining or interested in joining the high school teams.
