Reedsport
Police arrested a Reedsport woman Wednesday on drug and other charges.
According to the Reedsport Police Department bulletin, at about 4:40 p.m., officers went to the apartment complex at 2799 Frontage Road.
They arrested Kelly M. Cummings, 21, on charges of possession of methamphetamine, reckless endangering and endangering the welfare of a minor. She was taken to Reedsport jail, then transferred to Douglas County jail in Roseburg. She was being held this morning on $56,250 bail.
Coos Bay
Police arrested a Coos Bay woman Tuesday afternoon on fraud charges.
Officers responded to 716 Jackson Ave., after a woman reported that her daughter took one of her checks, forged her signature and cashed it at a local bank. Officers arrested Versa L. Smith, 24, on charges of identity theft, second-degree forgery and second-degree theft. She was taken to Coos County jail, where she is lodged on a total of $40,000 bail.
Crimefighters offering rewards for tips
Coos Stop Crime offers rewards for information leading to the arrest and conviction of suspects in Coos County.
Those with information about crimes can call the 24-hour line at (800) 368-6425 or 267-6666 to report the information anonymously.
The rewards are funded by private donations.
Curry County Crime Stoppers also accepts information on possible crimes. Calls to Crime Stoppers can be anonymous. Callers may receive a reward of up to $1,000 for their tips, depending on the nature of the crime and whether the information leads to an arrest. Curry County Crime Stoppers can be reached by calling (888) 974-0000.
