Wednesday, September 17, 2008 |
Operation Santa and the Marine Corps Moms of Southern Oregon in Coos County are organizing sew-a-thons at the Pony Village Mall in North Bend.
Their goal is to make 2,000 Christmas stockings filled with goodies for men and women serving in the Middle East.
Volunteers are asked to bring scissors and/or sewing machine, extra fabric and thread to the east wing of the Pony Village Mall, across of Ross Dress for Less, from 1 to 4 p.m., Sundays.
Parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters, friends and community members are invited to join as the group creates this special Christmas message from everyone in Coos County.
The sew-a-thons will continue every Sunday afternoon through Nov. 2 at the Pony Village Mall.
