Adult additions will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. Auditions for children will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27 and 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28.

It is a classic tale of what happens when East meets West, of political intrigues, of young lovers in impossible situations and of two people trying to meet, understand and respect one another against the back drop of their enormous cultural differences.

Hit songs from the show include, “I Whistle a Happy Tune", “Hello Young Lovers", “Getting to Know You” and “Shall We Dance.”

The show is directed by Neville Cordell and Kerry Oxford (“The Mikado”).

The musical director is Ida Jo Gates; set design is by Pam Dennis. The Pacific School of Dance will perform the ballet sequence “Uncle Tom’s Cabin” in the show.

“The King and I” will open Friday, Feb. 6, 2009 and will run four consecutive Friday and Suturday evenings at 8 p.m. with Sunday Matinees at 2 p.m., closing Sunday, March 1.
