Woman, toddler hurt in crash
A Coos Bay woman and her 3-year-old daughter went to Bay Area Hospital on Friday, after suffering minor injuries in a single-vehicle accident one mile West of Hauser.
Firefighters rescue stranded boaters
North Bend firefighters rescued a man and a woman who were stranded Monday when their boat drifted out of the Marshfield Channel and got stuck on the shoreline.

Police departments start safety blitz
The North Bend Police Department, along with other agencies in Oregon, Washington and British Columbia, is spreading the word about the top three factors in deadly crashes during a safety blitz through Sept. 21.
