The following represents recent action on cases in Coos County Circuit Court:

Convicted

n Devin L. Johnson, 44, of Coos Bay, was convicted on Aug. 26, 2008, of felony possession of a controlled substance and two counts of misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance. The court sentenced him to 10 days in jail, a six-month suspension of his driver’s license and 18 months probation. He also was ordered to pay $927 in fines.

n Janet L. Huckabee, 42, of Coos Bay, was convicted on Aug. 25, 2008, of felony aggravated first-degree theft and criminal mistreatment. The court sentened her to five years of probation and 90 days in jail.

n Treavor A. Wiley, 21, of Coos Bay, was convicted on July 25, 2008, of felony possession of methamphetamine, failure to perform the duties of a driver and unauthorized use of a vehicle He was sentenced to 20 days in jail and four years of probation. He also was ordered to pay $1,124 in fines.

n Malio B. Favalora, 46, of Coos Bay, was convicted on July 23, 2008, of felony unauthorized use of a vehicle, first-degree theft and felon in possession of a firearm and was sentenced to 20 days in jail and three years and six months of probation. He also was ordered to pay $214 in fines and $10,619 in restitution.

n Shawn O. Huntley, 18, of Coquille, was convicted on June 23, 2008, of felony first-degree theft and sentenced to three years of probation.

n Devin L. Bishop, 19, of Coos Bay, was convicted on July 28, 2008, of felony first-degree burglary and first-degree theft. The court sentenced him to 40 days in jail and three years of probation. He also was ordered to pay $734 in fines and $720 in restitution.

n Jimmy L. Windsor, 35, of North Bend, was convicted on Aug. 4, 2008, of assaulting a public safety officer. The court sentenced him to 30 days in jail and three years probation. He also was ordered to pay $187 in fines.

n Everett R. Swayne, 72, of Mount Vernon, was convicted on Aug. 11, 2008, of felony sexual abuse and was sentenced to 30 days in jail and five years of probation. He also was ordered to pay $1,260 in fines.

n Russell L. Shelnutt, 42, of Portland, was convicted on July 14, 2008, of felony second-degree assault. The court sentenced him to 30 days in jail and five years of probation. He also was ordered to pay $5,106 in restitution.

Dismissed

n Malio B. Favalora: On June 30, 2008, the court dismissed charges of felony aggravated first-degree theft, possession of methamphetamine and two counts of second-degree theft.

n Treavor A. Wiley: On July 25, 2008, the court dismissed one charge of felony possession of methamphetamine and one count of misdemeanor second-degree criminal mischief.

n Shawn O. Huntley: On June 16, 2008, the court dismissed a charge of felony first-degree theft.

n Devin L. Bishop: On July 16, 2008, the court dismissed two counts of felony first-degree theft and first-degree burglary.

n Jimmy L. Windsor: On July 21, 2008, the court dismissed three counts of felony unlawful use of a weapon, two counts of second-degree assault, misdemeanor fourth-degree assault, two counts of menacing, resisting arrest and two counts of recklessly endangering another.
