KLAMATH FALLS (AP) — An Oregon State Police plane was damaged when it crashed on takeoff from a gravel road in the Hart Mountain National Antelope Refuge northeast of Lakeview.
The state police pilot and a state wildlife biologist escaped injury when the single-engine aircraft struck rocks while attempting to take off.
The trooper and the biologist were taking a bighorn sheep census.
The 1981 Cessna had to be removed on a flatbed truck because of damage to its undercarriage and wing. |
