Having hopeThe Coquille Christian Community Church will hold their 10th-annual Fall Contemporary Concert to Celebrate Jesus at 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday, at the church, 625 E 10th St. The theme is “I Have a Hope,” referring I Peter 3:15.

Mill showdownThe 27th-annual Colgate Country Showdown Oregon State Final will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, at The Mill Casino-Hotel Salmon Room, 3201 Tremont St., North Bend.

Sunday Art’s journeyThere will be an “Off the Walls” art reception for Victoria Tierney from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Ever-green Court Independent Retirement, 451 O’Connell, North Bend. In this collection, she not only shows her artwork, but tells the story of the journey each piece took on its way to her collection. The art will be on display through October.
