Site coordinators for Start Making a Reader Today are needed. Volunteer Recruitment Open House events will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 16, at the North Bend Public Library, 1800 Sherman Ave., and  Wednesday, Sept. 24, at the Coos Bay Public Library, 525 Anderson Ave.

This will be an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about open positions throughout the region.

Site coordinators are responsible for coordinating scheduling, and managing and retaining volunteer readers at assigned schools.
