Upcoming Road Races on the South Coast

Prefontaine Memorial Run — Saturday, Sept. 20, starting at 10 a.m. in downtown Coos Bay. The 10-kilometer run honors the memory of the late Steve Prefontaine and is the largest annual sports event on the South Coast. The entry fee is $19 for those who sign up by Sept. 16 and $22 on race day and includes at T-shirt. For more information, or to register online, check www.prefontainerun.com. Registration forms also are available at Huggins Insurance in Coos Bay.
