Marshfield’s fall sports teams were introduced to the school’s fans during the annual Meet the Pirates night Thursday at Pete Susick Stadium.
The soccer, volleyball, cross country, football, dance and cheer squads, as well as the Band of Pirates, were recognized on the field. Some of the teams also performed demonstrations or played in scrimmages.
The teams open the season over the coming days, with the football team visiting North Bend tonight in the annual Civil War and the boys soccer team traveling to face the Bulldogs on Tuesday, while the girls host Eagle Point. The volleyball team hosts Roseburg on Thursday, the same day the cross country team participates in the Thurston Invitational. |
