A Coos County sheriff’s deputy and two Coquille tribal officers arrested a 59-year-old Coos Bay man Tuesday, following a report of a disturbance involving a firearm.
At about 6 p.m., the three law enforcement officers went to 64221 Braley Road upon receiving the report. Officers then arrested John W. Thompson on charges of unlawful use of a weapon, menacing, second-degree disorderly conduct and second-degree intimidation.
He was taken to the Coos County jail without incident. He remained in jail this morning on $45,000 bail.
Brookings
Curry County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Brookings man Wednesday on an assault charge.
At about 7:19 p.m., they booked Ricky T. Bradley, 50, at the Curry County jail on fourth-degree domestic assault.
He was in jail this morning on $7,500 bail.
Neighborhood Watch
The Coos Bay Police Department will host a Neighborhood Watch informational meeting for the Empire area at 6 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 4. The meeting will be held in Sunset Middle School’s library.
