To the cowardly, unqualified to vote, no-namer who deliberately spreads falsehoods about Obama being Muslim ........ Grow UP already.
Not that theres anything wrong with being Muslim wrote on Sep 8, 2008 9:30 AM:
The Times report, published on March 16, 2008, revealed:
A close boyhood friend of Obama, Zulfin Adi, said Obama "was a Muslim. He went to the mosque."
Obama's first-grade teacher at a Catholic school, Israella Dharmawan, said: "Barry (Barack's nickname) was Muslim. He was registered as a Muslim because his father was Muslim."
In the third grade, Obama transferred to a public school, where he was also registered as a Muslim. At the school, Muslim students attended weekly religion lessons about Islam.

Although I have tried to research Obama and his past, I have neither the contacts nor the expertise to root out all the details online myself.
This book does it for me, listing facts that I was not able to uncover not being an investigative reporter and not being from Chicago.
I am frightened for the future of our country.
I believe there is corruption in our government, but certainly not at the magnitude of Chicago.
We need to get a reasonably responsible man in the Whitehouse; McCain says he will stop earmark spending and I think he is an honorable man and will endeavor to do so.
If Obama gets in, I’m not certain that he will not create jobs and put unqualified people in position to drain from the American taxpayers to give to his friends and family (from all over the world); jobs they are neither qualified or eligible to have.
Obama has done absolutely nothing to stop the corruption in Chicago - - politics makes strange bedfellows.

If you want to see what you get when you elect an ill prepared president you need only look at our current one. Sadly, neither being a POW nor a governor of a state prepares one for the job. Biden is the only one with the knowledge of foreign affairs to perform adequately in that area, and frankly I think none of them have the economic expertise that we need.

Indeed, Reagan was a governor for 8 years.
Clinton was Arkansas Attorney General for 2 years and Governor for a total of 12 years.
Lincoln, whose experience was questioned by his opponents, was 8 years in the Illinois House and a U.S Representative for two years, similar to Obam's experience.
Palin's experience is not and should not be an issue. It's the policy proposals offered by McCain/Palin versus those of Obama/Biden that should people should use as the deciding factors on who to vote for.

For healthcare there are a lot of promises but again, how will this be paid?
Something else he supports which is not good...."Obama will require that all children have health care coverage. Obama will expand the number of options for young adults to get coverage, including allowing young people up to age 25 to continue coverage through their parents' plans." Age 25???? WHY?
Liberals like to say that conservatives dont want to cover children, yet in reality conservatives dont want to count 25 year olds as CHILDREN. So every time you hear how Conservatives dont want kids to have coverage, keep in mind that it is because the definition of a "child" that liberals would like to adhere to goes all the way up to age 25.
THAT notion is ridiculous. Obama will have to do better than that.
Jim wrote on Sep 1, 2008 6:08 PM:
What I do not like about Obama is that he sounds a LOT like John Kerry did..."I have a plan" Where are the details? I will give the guy a chance but I want details, not just hugs and love and promises of $1000 for every American.
One other thing is how is he going to pay for all of the things he says we will have (universal health care for example)? If you think taxes will not go up then think again.
I am willing to give him a chance but let's have some details!

From a town the size of Coquille
May be just one heart beat from becoming
The person behind the wheel
Though I’m sure she’s a very nice person
And, for Alaska, a fine governor, too
With the other available choices
Is this the best McCain could do?
She still supports Bush’s agenda
Like McCain, she’s just more of the same
Is she best if it’s time to take over
Or does her selection seem lame?
So with global conflicts abounding
And when seeds of destruction are sowed
Sarah might be looking up answers
In Walissa’s municipal code

Thank you for accepting the invite for VP.
You have made the election of Obama a sure thing.
Why?
Because you are completely inexperienced and just a 72 year old heartbeat away from the the Presidency.
Mayor of Wasilla? Nice job but you did leave the town saddled with 20 million in debt.
All 9 thousand residents.
Governor of Alaska?
For 2 years?
McCain has been running for President longer than that!
I would say more but her .gov.alaska pages have been scrubbed.
Really.
So has her Wiki entry.
Really.
Her husband works for BP oil.
She has never had a real job.
And no, being a runner up in the Miss Alaska Pageant does not count.
Oh...
She is currently under investigation for tampering and and unlawful firing.
This woman also speaks in tongues...
Can you say Assembly of God?
Eeeuuuwwwww....

Our hope for her Is profound.

These ten big media organizations are the main source of news for most Americans. Their corporate ties require us to continually scrutinize the quality of their news for bias. Disney owns ABC so we wonder how the board of Disney reacts to negative news about their board of directors friends such as Halliburton or Boeing. We see board members with connections to Ford, Kraft, and Kimberly-Clark who employ tens of thousands of Americans. Is it possible that the U.S. workforce receives only the corporate news private companies want them to hear? Do we collectively realize that working people in the U.S. have longer hours, lower pay and fewer benefits than their foreign counterparts? If these companies control the media, they control the dissemination of news turning the First Amendment on its head by protecting corporate interests over people.

When I vote for the third party, I know that they will probably not be the winner, but at least I will be able to sleep at night knowing that my vote did not place this country more in danger then it already is! I wonder if either one of these candidates understands that with a lot of power, comes a lot of responsibility!!! Just something that should be thought about on November 4th. As far as change goes, the only change that anyone is going to see is the Butt that sits in that damned chair in the oval office. That is the only change that has been seen and it is probably the only change anyone will ever see in this lifetime.

My conclusion is that Obama is a non-ideological pragmatic centrist. If someone with an extreme rightist viewpoint reads his book, they will see something else. The more liberal side of America won't find Obama to be a "true believer" either. However if we are to marginalize the extremes and get back to bipartisanship, Obama will be a good horse to back.

Your comments point out the very reason you can't seem to find out what it is he is running on; your own laziness. That explains the "yawn". It's not about who not to listen to. But if you, as you insist to do, only listen to what/whom you want to, you will only hear that one side. That's the equivalent of dozing to the drone of an ipod and amounts to more than just laziness. That's ignorance.
Mr. Wilson's letter points out something very valuable; the importance of information. Obama's self-penned books give the most insight. His campaign website offers much more info.
Thank you, Mr. Wilson
