Don’t believe lies; do some research

When that 3 a.m. phone call goes to the White House, I want the person answering the phone to be intelligent, with good judgment.

John McCain graduated 894th out of his Class of 899 at Annapolis in 1958. We’ve already had one intellectually challenged president for seven years. This country can’t survive four more years of the same. We need an honest, intelligent president, one who shows good judgment like Barack Obama has shown. He’s been against the Iraq war from the beginning.

The lying Republican attack machine is out in full force. They are spreading lies about Sen. Obama in order to deflect scrutiny of their own one-issue candidate. If you think that serving in the military or being a POW qualifies one to be commander-in-chief, then you probably believe that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction and caused the Sept. 11 events, both of which were lies spread by Bush and his minions. McCain went right along with the White House.

And no, folks, Obama doesn’t want to take away your guns. And no, he’s not a Muslim. If you can read this letter then you’re capable of reading his books or researching him online. Don’t buy into Fox News slander or Rush Limbaugh’s hate filled diatribes and beware of the multitude of lies, half-truths and false innuendoes found on the Internet. Do your own research. It’s the American way to do your own thinking. Our founding fathers certainly did theirs.

What would they think about all the lies being spread by the McCain people?
