Track coach accused of molesting runner

PORTLAND (AP) — Police arrested a Central Catholic High School track coach accused of molesting a 14-year-old girl.
Askia Brown was arraigned on charges of sexual abuse and is being held on a $10,000 bond.
The girl had been taking private lessons with the 33-year-old coach and is not a student at Central Catholic.
An affidavit says the alleged abuse occurred while the coach was massaging the girl’s hamstring area after a workout. The girl told police Brown’s hands went under her shorts, and he rubbed her genital area.
A Catholic Central High School official said Monday there have been no other complaints against Brown.
