PORTLAND (AP) — Authorities say “danger” signs posted at a sand cave that collapsed on a 15-year-old Newberg boy over the weekend had been removed before the accident. The boy, Zach Holmes, is listed in critical condition.
Officials at Dash Point State Park in Federal Way, Wash., where the cave-in took place, say signs have repeatedly been installed then knocked over.
Holmes was airlifted to a Seattle hospital after bystanders helped dig him out. |
