Tuesday

Dancing and drawing

The Educational Enhancement Center of Coquille, 650 E. Second St., offers classes and workshops throughout the week.

Terry Magill of Myrtle Point offers drawing and painting classes from 1 to 3 p.m.  Tuesdays. The cost is $10.

A drawing techniques, portrait and figure drawing class is offered at the center from 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays.

The cost is $6 for a drop in or $25 for five weekly session.

Wednesday

Senior dance

Gene Valerio, Frosty West, Bob Richardson, Dean Conyers and Clell Laird will perform at the monthly Senior Dance at Evergreen Court at 1 p.m.  Wednesday at Evergreen Court on the campus of Baycrest Village, 451 O’Connell in North Bend. For more information, call 756-4466.

Having soup

Soup’s On, a free meal, is held from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesdays at Covenant United Methodist Church, at the corner of Ranch and Frontage Road.

Rocky Mountains

The North Bend Public Library, 1800 Sherman Ave., will show the film “Colorado” at 2 p.m. Wednesday.

The film features Rocky Mountain National Park with scenes of Pikes Peak from the cog railway, Denver, Cripple Creek and sheepdogs as they master the sheep.

This event is free and sponsored by the Friends of the Library. For more information, call 756-0400.

SOP meets

The next Save Our Pool community meeting is at 5:30 p.m.  Wednesday at the North Bend Council Chambers, 835 California St.

Visitors can meet the committee members and learn about the plans to repair and upgrade the North Bend Municipal Pool.

Investment talk

The Bay Area Investment Club will have its monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the North Bend Public Library conference room, 1800 Sherman Ave.

Participants will discuss various stocks. For more information, call Dave at 269-7088.

Thursday

Supportful meeting

The Fibromyalgia Support Group will meet from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday at the South Coast Hospice Community Bereavement and Education Center, 1620 Thompson Road, Coos Bay.
