Film talks about sustainable living

The Peak Moment film “Building a Local Community and Economy,” will be shown The film will be shown from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Bandon Library.
In the film, Michelle Long of Sustainable Connections explains the movement taking place in Bellingham Wash., to create a network of locally-owned independent businesses and community members as they promote a Think Local First program.
Through projects that focus community awareness on fundamental issues such as local food and farming, green building, sustainable building development and green energy, Bellingham has created a “statistically significant cultural shift” in how community members view themselves, and how they make decisions about their community, a press release said.
