Wednesday, August 20, 2008 |
A car crash cut power to homes in the Gardiner area on Monday.
According to an Oregon State Police press release, at about 8:04 p.m., the Honda Accord was southbound on U.S. when it left the roadway near milepost 202 and hit the 50-foot-tall pole. The driver, Rose Young, 23, of Florence, was not hurt, police said.
Central Lincoln People’s Utility District workers replaced the damaged pole, shutting off power to about six customers, a spokeswoman said. Power was restored around 2:30 a.m., police said.
