Alatasi Clancy and Daniel Hiestand, both of Ferndale, Wash., were married on June 21, 2008, at Evergreen Gardens in Ferndale.

The bride is the daughter of Fa’asei and Jim Clancy of North Bend. She is a 1996 graduate of North Bend High School. She graduated from Linfield College in 2000, with a degree in elementary education. She is a post baccalaureate student at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Wash., in the  communication sciences and disorders program.

The groom is the son of Gerri and Tom Hiestand of Oak Harbor, Wash. He is a 1993 graduate of Oak Harbor High School. He graduated from Western Washington University in 1998, with a degree in journalism. He is an editor at PR Web in Ferndale.

The couple honeymooned in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, and will reside in Ferndale.
