A North Bend man was hurt when his motorcycle and a car collided Sunday near the intersection of Newmark and Pine Streets.

At about 2:30 p.m., emergency personnel responded to the accident involving a 2004 Mazda and a 2004 Kawasaki motorcycle, according to the North Bend Police log.

Police dispatchers were unaware of the cause of the accident, but said the motorcyclist, David Clark, 56, was taken to Bay Area Hospital for treatment. No staff at the hospital were available before press time.
