Entry of Merit
“Fair Winds”
Oil by William A. Selden of Coos Bay
In addition to winning two of the top four awards, Coos Bay artist Bill Selden was also chosen for one of nine entries of merit. Selden said this painting came from three pictures taken in possibly three states ” the sailboats were “maybe somewhere in Washington state,” the lighthouse in the background is from California, and the buoy in the foreground is local. “I’m not too good with faking stuff,” Selden said. “If I can find the right picture, it’s better.” Contributed Art |
