The Coos County Democrats will host a grand opening of their election season headquarters in Pony Village Mall on Friday, Aug. 15. Doors will be open from 5 until 7 p.m.

To commemorate the occasion, State Rep. Arnie Roblan, D-Coos Bay, will give a keynote address at 6 p.m.

Rick Goche, the candidate for state representative District 1, will be attending as will Eldon Rollins, the Democratic candidate for state Senate District 1.

Educational material about the Democratic Party, its candidates, and its policy positions will be available. Eligible citizens also can register to vote at the event.

The new headquarters are inside Pony Village Mall, across from the Ross department store. Refreshments will be served.
