The following are theft and criminal mischief reports from area police department logs.

Coos Bay

* Aug. 5, 12:06 a.m., theft from a vehicle was reported in the 100 block of South 10th Street.

* Aug. 5, 9:09 a.m., transients were sleeping behind a shop in the 700 block of South Second Street.

* Aug. 5, 9:46 a.m., two vehicles were struck in a hit-and-run accident in the 1100 block of South 11th Street.

* Aug. 5, 10:43 a.m., the front of a home was spray painted in the 1100 block of Elrod Avenue.

* Aug. 5, 11:55 a.m., gas was stolen at Basset Hyland, 1059 Evans Blvd.

* Aug. 5, 3:01 p.m., child abuse was reported in Coos Bay.

* Aug. 5, 5:25 p.m., someone shot a dog with a pellet gun in the 1000 block of South Eighth Street.

* Aug. 5, 5:45 p.m., someone broke into a vehicle and stole an emblem from its hood in the 900 block of Anderson Avenue. Estimated loss, $397.

* Aug. 5, 6:05 p.m., disorderly conduct was reported near the intersection of LaClair and Newmark Avenue.

* Aug. 5, 6:21 p.m., criminal trespassing was reported in the 1400 block of Newmark Avenue.

* Aug. 5, 6:24 p.m., criminal trespassing was reported in the 1900 block of Lawnridge Loop.

* Aug. 5, 7:01 p.m., forgery was reported at Ocean Crest Retirement and Assisted Living Residence, 192 Norman Ave.

* Aug. 5, 7:22 p.m., marijuana was found in the 1100 block of Salmon Avenue.

* Aug. 5, 7:33 p.m., criminal trespassing was reported in the 200 block of North Cammann Street.

* Aug. 5, 8:30 p.m., disorderly conduct was reported in the 100 block of West Anderson Avenue.

* Aug. 5, 10:26 p.m., children were setting off fireworks in the 300 block of South Ninth Street.

North Bend

* Aug. 5, 10:51 a.m., panhandling was reported in the Public Square Plaza.

* Aug. 5, 4:27 p.m., a vehicle was stolen in the 2000 block of Virginia Court.

* Aug. 5, 5:34 p.m., harassment was reported in the 1400 block of Union Avenue.

* Aug. 5, 9:03 p.m., harassment was reported in the 1500 block of Union Avenue.

* Aug. 5, 11:41 p.m., criminal trespassing was reported in the 400 block of California Street.

* Aug. 6, 4:25 a.m., criminal mischief was reported at The Mill Casino-Hotel, 3201 Tremont Ave.

Reedsport

* Aug. 5, 9:30 a.m., someone received a bad check in the 400 block of Winchester Avenue.

* Aug. 5, 6:47 p.m., someone took money from a home in the 1900 block of Cedar Street.

Coos County

* Aug. 5, 4:29 p.m., criminal trespassing was reported in the 94000 block of Coos River Highway.
