Coos County Community Corrections wants your help.
The agency announced it cannot find five sex offenders who haven’t checked in with their parole and probation officers. They believe the men still are in the area.
Coos County Community Corrections parole and probation officer Darin Larson said his department needs help because it’s used up all available resources in searching for them.
The courts convicted all of the sex offenders in crimes involving girls 14 to 17 years old.
The department is hoping Coos County citizens might be able to offer tips in locating the five men.
If found, Larson said the sanction for the runaways will vary. But one thing is for certain.
“They will be sent to jail,” Larson said. “I guarantee that.”
If you have information, call Coos County Community Corrections at 396-3173, ext. 201, or any law enforcement agency.
