Ford Pinto catches fire on U.S. Highway 101
No one was injured when a car caught fire on the shoulder of U.S. Highway 101 in North Bend on Monday.

 Police search NB neighborhood
North Bend Police Officers Bill Downing, left, and Jon Bohanan circle a house with police dog Bruno in the 1800 block of Maple Street on Monday, while searching for a suspect.  The incident began when Bohanan attempted to pull over a driver for speeding on Virginia Avenue. The short chase ended one block over on California Street, where the suspect then jumped out of his car and ran on to Maple Street, disappearing between some houses. Police called off the search at 8:20 p.m. and made no arrests.
