Megan Ross of Brookings won the Tuff Truck Powder Puff as part of two days of events at the Curry County Fair in Gold Beach.

Helen Burns of Gold Beach was second in the eveent, with Tammy Ross of Gold Beach third.

The Saturday events also included a Tuff Trucks race, which was won by Billy Hawk of Cave Junction, with Mitch Chenoweth of Gold Beach second and Shawn Belmont of Brookings third.

Demolition Derby

Steven Hoggatt of Bandon won the main event and $1,000 top prize in the demolitition derby at the Curry County Fair last weekend.

Hoggatt, who finished third in his heat prior to the main event, outlasted runner-up Stuart Hoggatt, also of Bandon.

Stuart Hoggatt and Phillip Thompson of Redding, Calif., won the two heats. Thompson was third in the main event.

In the truck tug of war, Aaron Fava of Gold Beach used his Chevy Monster Truck to take the top prize. Joe Ross of Gold Beach was second in a Suburban.
