A helicopter crew flew a woman to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Eugene on Thursday after she was involved in a two-vehicle accident near Loon Lake.

Douglas County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a head-on crash in the 7200 block of Loon Lake Road, east of Reedsport, at about 1:39 p.m.

A woman suffered a leg injury as well as a cut on her chin, the Sheriff’s Office press log said.

A spokesman from Reach Air Medical Services said a woman was taken to Eugene. She was kept in stable condition throughout the flight, the spokesman said.

More information about the woman and the crash was unavailable at press time because deputies had not finished reports, as they were assigned to work at DuneFest in Winchester Bay, said Sgt. Dave Marshall.
