Reedsport

Police arrested a Reedsport man Thursday night on domestic harassment charges. Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at 739 Laurel Ave., at about 10:35 p.m., according to the Reedsport police bulletin.

They arrested Jason M. Schailzel, 34, on charges of menacing and harassment. He was taken to Reedsport jail, where he was being held this morning on $8,750 bail.

Police arrested a second Reedsport man this morning, also on domestic harassment charges. Officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute at 751 Elm Ave., at about 4:25 a.m., the bulletin said.

They arrested Shawn M. Keith, 29, on charges of harassment and disorderly conduct. He was taken to Reedsport jail, where he was being held this morning on $5,000 bail.

Coos County

Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Myrtle Point man early this morning near Coquille on assault-related charges.

Responding to a report of a fight at 56039 Finley Loop, deputies arrested Ryan Fleek, 18, on charges of fourth-degree assault, first-degree criminal trespassing and third-degree criminal mischief at 1:36 a.m., according to Sgt. Pat Downing.

Deputies took Fleek to the Coos County jail, where he was booked and later released on citation.

Deputies also arrested a Coos Bay man this morning in the Bunker Hill area on an attempted burglary charge.

A woman reported someone tried to break into her home at 63762 Flanagan Road at about 2:48 a.m. Deputies arrested Nicklas Barnett, 25, on charges of attempted burglary and second-degree criminal trespassing, said Downing. He was taken to Coos County jail, where he was being held this morning on $77,500 bail.

Deputies arrested a Bandon man this morning south of Bandon on domestic harassment charges.

Responding to a report of a disturbance at 87706 17th St. S.E., deputies arrested Casey S. Newman-Baker, 23, on charges of domestic menacing and domestic harassment at about 4:50 a.m. He was taken to Coos County jail, where he was being held this morning on $15,000 bail.

Coos Bay

Coos Bay police arrested a woman Thursday on an assault charge.

Officers responded to 1531 Dakota Ave., at about 6:47 p.m., after receiving reports of a domestic dispute. They arrested Lisa Huyck, age and town unavailable, on a charge of fourth-degree assault. She was taken to Coos County jail, where she was being held this morning on $7,500 bail.
