OSHA offers safety training seminars

The Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Division wants to help workers and their employers with safety training.
Next week, the department is offering seminars. All will be held at Empire Hall, Lakeview G, Southwestern Oregon Community College, 1988 Newmark Ave., Coos Bay.
Tuesday
• 8 a.m. to noon, “Safety for Small Business: Safety Committee Training.”
• 1 to 2 p.m., “Safety for Small Business: Back Safety.”
• 2:15 to 3:15 p.m., “Safety for Small Business: Personal Protective Equipment.”
• 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., “Safety for Small Business: Violence in the Workplace.”
Wednesday
• 8 a.m. to noon, “Motor Vehicles: Planning & Safe Practices.”
• 1 to 5 p.m., “Confined Space Safety.”
Thursday
• 8 a.m. to noon, “Conducting an Accident Investigation.”
• 1 to 5 p.m., “Ergonomics of Manual Material Handling.”
