Labeling people weakens a message

It has been said that words have no meaning. People have meaning and words are the tools to express it. Therefore, the words a person uses says more about that person’s motivation and outlook than what he is describing, especially if they are emotionally charged.

When someone uses the word ecofreaks, we know he feels threatened by those who value the enhancement of the environment, so that any criticism he might have of the actions involving environmental issues seems tainted.

The word fascist has become nothing, but an epithet expressing anger by the user at just about anything.

Many who have benefited financially from the policies of the Bush administration feel threatened by any attempt to move away from the status quo and therefore attack those who want change that may affect their status, even questioning their sanity.

the 2 major research institutes had to admit that actually there has not been any increase of temperature in the last 10 years.
But these indisputable facts are being suppressed due to a vested interest of certain liberal agencies and their business cronies to make money through asinine "environmental" plots. Just think of the blasted ethanol in the gas. Not only does it deplete our wheat and grain supplies for food, but it actually lowers the gas mileage.
Kick those green charlatans to the curb where they belong!!

Make no mistake; frightening gullible Americans into swallowing the MYTH of Global Warming has NOTHING to do with saving the environment and EVERYTHING to do with raising your taxes, expanding government control over your day to day life and reviving a discredited Socialist ideology!

If you listen to the media, you would think that man-made environmental catastrophe was about to engulf the world and imperil civilization. Manmade global warming is unlikely to be a serious problem for humanity.

emotionally charged up wrote on Aug 1, 2008 8:03 AM:

Well, who wouldn't be charged up as environmentalists from around the globe converge on southwestern Oregon and attack a way of life that we love so dearly. Locking up our forrests, sand dunes, beaches, rivers, and even our OWN property, eventually confining us to city life is just the beginning!! Charged up!! Heck yeah we're charged up!!
