The Philanthropic Educational Organization chapter AS will host a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the parking lot of Gloria dei Lutheran Church, 1290 Thompson Road, Coos Bay. Proceedsprovide scholarships for women in the area.
The Sunset Garden Club of Port Orford invites people to its seventh-annual Garden Tour from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets/maps are on sale at Downtown Fun Zone in Port Orford, or in advance by calling (541) 332-3860.
The Myrtle Point, Dora and Powers libraries will offer children’s reading programs at the Coos County Fair beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday under a small canopy next to the larger one show casing Myrtle Point, Powers and Dora. The programs will include reading, crafts and prizes.
Chair yoga will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. at Unity by the Bay, 2100 Union St., North Bend. For more information, call Jevanna Toribio at 756-5790.
Native American stories, with Gene Davenport, will be featured at 2 p.m. at the Langlois Library, 48234 U.S. Highway 101.

Classes on body awareness are offered from 11 a.m. to noon Saturdays, at the First Presbyterian Church, 438 Elrod Ave., in Coos Bay. Easy stretching, yoga postures, qi gung and tai chi will be incorporated into a smooth, gentle program focusing on balance, breathing and posture. For more information, call Dee Hamil at 888-4946.
Dance lessons will be offered from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturdays at the Bandon Grange Farwest Hall on state Highway 42 South, just east of U.S. Highway 101. A free clothes giveaway will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the fourth Saturday of the month at the Lakeside Lions Hall, 890 Bowron Road. Volunteers are welcome, as well as good, used shoes and clothes donations. For more information, call Denise at 759-4109 or Madeline at 759-2374.
The Military Officers of America Association will meet at noon on the fourth Saturday of each month, at a different restaurant each time. A tri-tip barbecue benefit will be held frorm 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 27, at the Lakeside County Park. Proceeds will benefit Lakeside resident Judy Banks, who had emergency heart surgery. For more information, call Dody Guinn, 759-3687.
