Motors need to go and ‘Cheers’ too
Thursday, July 24, 2008 11:46 AM PDT

On the subject of motorized drift boats on the South Fork of the Coquille River.

I do think that motors should be banned on this river, but that is not the real problem. Bad manners are the problem, plus a “me first” attitude.

However, the river guides are not the only guilty ones. What about their clients?

The clients could insist that their guides do not behave in a rude, don’t care manner. The fishermen should be able to solve this matter without government intervention. I thought that we all wanted smaller government.

On another mater, the “Cheers and Jeers” segment is pretty awful.

Can you just write editorials in the usual manner?
