Aug. 9 will mark the ninth anniversary of Lakeside’s cardboard boat race across Tenmile Lake.
Races begin at noon, but the boats will be on display at 11 a.m., at the Coos County Tenmile Lakes dock.
There are four division of racers: Pollywogs for children up to 7 years old; Kids for those that are 8 to 11 years old; Juniors for teens ages 12 to 15; and Adults, everyone that is 16 and older.
Those divisions will be dividend into three classes:
* Class I (one people).
* Class II (two people).
* Class III (three or more people).
Prizes will be awarded in several categories.
There will be a 50-50 drawing at the end of the race.
