North Coos hosts South Eugene to finish league play today and then is off until the state tournament at Clyde Allen Field.

North Medford led the opener 3-0 until the fifth inning, when everything went right for the Waterfront.

Nic Canaday singled to lead off the inning, and Skyler Walton walked. Elliott Aurdahl reached base on an error, which scored Canaday, and Ryan Campbell followed with an RBI single to left. Jesse McClintock, Andrew Slack, Dalton Iveans and Bryce Weidman followed with consecutive RBI singles before Jake Stevens walked. Canaday added his second single of the inning to end the scoring barrage.

North Coos added three more runs in the sixth, when McClintock singled, Slack walked, Iveans hit a two-run double and Weidman hit an RBI single.

For the game, Iveans went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and Weidman had two hits and two RBIs. McClintock and Canaday also had two hits.

Stevens picked up the win, pitching 5 2-3 innings before McClintock finished the game.

North Coos spread out its runs over five innings in the nightcap. Weidman and Canaday each had three hits, while McClintock, Iveans, Walton and Stevens had two hits each.
