Crash injures CB man

A Coos Bay man was injured in a two-vehicle crash Saturday, near the intersection of South First Street and Johnson Avenue.

According to a Coos Bay Police Department press log, a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Emily Whipple, 17, collided with a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Gerald Pawver, 60, at about 9:15 a.m. Pawver was stopped at a traffic signal on the northbound side of South First at the time.

 Pawver was taken to Bay Area Hospital. No information about his condition was available at press time.

I'm sure this girl is a beautiful young woman and her parents love her very much so for heaven's sake please make sure she has extensive driving lessons so something more serious doesn't occur.
