Removing editor was a good move

Tuesday, July 22, 2008 |
The only thing I find wrong with the exit of the past editor is that it didn’t come many, many years sooner. While the editorial is the newspapers
forum, the letters to the editor should be the peoples
forum and/or feedback to the editorial. With The World this was not the case. The selection of letters to the editor was so biased that The World was, in fact, not a community paper at all but a personal paper used solely to reflect the views of the (very opinionated) editor.
Ten years as a managing editor of The World doesn’t necessarily mean that that person is more qualified than another. It could simply mean that she has many more years of incompetence.
I’m really looking forward to changes in this publication. The South Coast deserves a decent newspaper.
