Teens arrested on burglary charges

North Bend
North Bend Police arrested a North Bend woman early Tuesday morning on an assault charge.
According to a North Bend Police Department press log, at approximately 12:49 a.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance at 1063 Connecticut Ave.
There, they learned North Bend resident Douglas Grey, 34, had been assaulted. Officer then arrested Erika McGoffin, 24, on fourth-degree assault. She was taken to the Coos County jail, where she was booked and released.
Coos County
Coos County deputies arrested a Coos Bay man Monday on a charge of failing to register as a sex offender.
According to a Coos County Sheriff’s Office press release, at about 8:30 a.m., deputies attempted to locate a wanted man at 63111 Fruitdale Drive. Officers arrested Tony B. Waters, 21, on the warrant charge of failing to register as a sex offender. He was taken to Coos County jail, where he was booked and later released.
Deputies also arrested a Greenacres man Tuesday evening in Hauser on drunken-driving and related charges.
According to the Sheriff’s Office press log, at about 9:19 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a 1993 Ford pickup truck stuck in a ditch near the Hauser Bar and Grill, 69822 Wildwood Road. Deputies arrested Rondo Clawson, 38, on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants and giving false information to an officer. He was taken to Coos County jail, where he was booked and later released.
Coquille
Coquille police officers arrested a Port Orford man Saturday after he tried to flee a traffic stop.
At 8:07 p.m., officers pulled over Michael Davis, 32. During the stop, Davis fled, police said. Officers were able to find and arrest Davis about an hour later on charges of attempting to elude police, third-degree escape, driving under the influence of intoxicants, second-degree criminal mischief, second degree-criminal trespassing and three Curry County warrants.
He was taken to Coos County jail, where he was booked and later released.
Police also arrested two boys Friday in connection with a Coquille burglary.
At 10:20 p.m., officers responded to 1485 N. Ivy St., after the owner of the home noticed a ladder propped up by a window and other evidence of a forced entry into the house.
Officers later arrested a 12-year-old boy from Coos Bay and a 14-year-old boy from Coquille on first-degree burglary charges.
The boys were released to one of the boy’s parents and the charges were referred to the Coos County Juvenile Department. |
