After the skate park groundbreaking ceremony, young skateboarders were treated to some cookies and drinks, courtesy of the Coos Bay City Hall staff on Tuesday. Citizens for Bay Area Youth submitted plans earlier this year to build a new skate park near Mingus Park. The first phase began last week with the pouring of new concrete.
