PORTLAND (AP) — An Oregon man has been sentenced to more than four years in federal prison for his role in a multistate identity theft scheme.

Donald Wright pleaded guilty in April to money laundering in the conspiracy case, which also involved burglary and bank fraud.

Federal prosecutors said there were hundreds of victims and losses totaled more than $137,000.

From 2002 to 2007, the 25-year-old Wright and several coconspirators burglarized commercial properties in Western states and stole identification and credit cards, along with other property.

They also used computers to make false identification documents and counterfeit checks.
