An Aberdeen, Wash., man was hurt Saturday, following an accident in which his all-terrain vehicle collided with a truck.

At 7:41 p.m. emergency crews responded to Hauser Depot Road to a report of an accident in which a 1984 Toyota pickup, driven by Jeffrey Parker, 37, of Coos Bay, hit two ATVS.

One of the riders, Kurt Schaefer, 37, of Aberdeen suffered a broken leg and was taken to Bay Area Hospital. He was treated and released.

Coos Bay Police officers arrested Parker on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving and failing to perform the duties of a driver. He was taken to the Coos County jail, booked and released.

If people are interested in providing support to Search and Rescue they can contact the Douglas County Sheriff's Office directly.

For more information, those interested can contact Emergency Manager Wayne Stinson of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office at (541) 440-4448.
