Coos Cultural Coalition seeks board members

Saturday, July 12, 2008 |
The Coos County Cultural Coalition is looking for new board members. Applicants must live in Coos County and be focused in some way on the arts, humanities and/or history of Coos County. An affiliation with a group in the visual or performing arts, a museum or writers’ workshop or other similar involvement is desirable but not required. An enthusiastic interest in helping fund projects by worthy individuals and organizations, and a willingness to be active in doing so, is all that is needed.
The coalition is a cohesive and hard-working board that runs smoothly, efficiently and with good humor, a press release said.
Members meet for lunch from noon to 1 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month.
Those interested should contact the coalition by Tuesday, July 15. For more information, visit the Web site at
http://www.ccculturalcoalition.org; write to P. O. Box 1091, Coos Bay, OR 97420; or call board chairman David Bridgham at 756-5401.
