ExpressJet may end Eugene to LA flight

Wednesday, July 09, 2008 |
EUGENE (AP) — The only nonstop flight from Eugene to Los Angeles is in jeopardy because of Delta Airline’s recent decision to end its partnership with ExpressJet.
The companies recently agreed to end all ExpressJet Delta Connection operations on Sept. 1.
ExpressJet currently operates flights primarily out of Los Angeles and Salt Lake City, including a twice-daily direct from Eugene to Los Angeles. Delta says it plans to award part of that flying, including all routes at its Salt Lake City hub, to another Delta Connection carrier.
Some reports indicate the Eugene to Los Angeles flights are being discontinued. But the Eugene Airport says Delta is still deciding the fate of the route.
