The following are theft and criminal mischief reports from area police department logs.

North Bend

• July 3, 9:23 p.m., illegal fireworks were reported in the 2100 block of Stanton Avenue.

• July 3, 10:51 p.m., people were throwing fireworks into a courtyard from apartments in the 1900 block of Union Avenue.

Coquille

• July 2, 9:07 a.m., telephone harassment was reported in the 1500 block of North Collier Street

• July 2, 1:56 p.m., child neglect was reported in the 700 block of 10th Street.

• July 3, 7:46 p.m., gun shots were heard at the Fifth Street Park.

Reedsport

• July 2, 3:58 p.m., a bad check was reported at Bumble Bee ATV, 2057 Winchester Ave.

• July 2, 1:13 p.m., harassment was reported in the 800 block of Myrtle Avenue.

• July 2, 12:34 p.m., dogs were chained without food and water in the 900 block of Greenwood Avenue.

• July 3, 3:33 p.m., a person was seen cutting a neighbor’s fence in the 4400 block of South Smith River Road.

• July 3, 6:19 p.m., a bicycle was stolen from the 2700 block of Frontage Road.

• July 3, 1:20 p.m., animal neglect was reported in the 200 block of Elm Avenue.

Scottsburg

• July 2, 5:21 p.m., gasoline was stolen from a Scottsburg Rural Fire District vehicle, 33000 state Highway 38.

Bandon

• July 2, 3:20 p.m., someone tried to steal gasoline in the 88300 block of state Highway 42.

• July 2, 10:35 a.m., a bad check was reported in the 900 block of Second Street.

• July 2, 5:25 p.m., a hit-and-run accident occurred in the 100 block of Chicago Avenue. Police later located and cited the driver of a vehicle involved.

Coos County

• July 3, 2:13 p.m., theft of a weapon was reported in the 95600 block of Morgan Lane.

• July 3, 2:52 p.m., burglary was reported on Centennial Road.

• July 3, 7:26 p.m., a rock was thrown at a window and a lock on a pump house was smashed at a residence on Wildwood Drive.

• July 3, 8:05 p.m., assault was reported in the 64600 block of Duling Road.

• July 3, 9:01 p.m., illegal fireworks were set off in the 93500 West Dove Lane.

• July 3, 9:31 p.m. a small sand rail fire was reported on Spinreel Road.

• July 3, 9:39 p.m., illegal fireworks were heard in the 63100 block of Isthmus Heights.

• July 3, 11:58 p.m., people were seen throwing fireworks down a dry grass hill in the 63200 block of Rice Road.

• July 4, 12:27 a.m., a phone was stolen from the 63300 block of Boat Basin Road.

• July 4, 12:34 a.m. people stole items from a porch in the 94300 block of Lampa Lane.
