The Charity Bridge Marathon concluded another successful season with a luncheon hosted by Evergreen Court at Baycrest Village.

This year’s winners were Marilyn Duvall and Carla Hentze with a season total of 36,750 points. Lucy Sorenson and Norma Schnoor were second with 34,360 and Fay Cooke and Martha Springer came in a close third with 34,270. This year, 16 teams played a total of 13 matches consisting of 20 hands of Rubber Bridge.

Each year the group donates money from its membership fees to a local charity. South Coast Hospice will be the recipient of $440.00.  Additionally, in appreciation for the lovely luncheon provided by Evergreen Court, the group presented Frosty Mulkin with $179 for Evergreen Court’s Relay for Life Team.

The Charity Bridge Marathon looks forward to beginning its 25th season in September, according to a press release. It is open to anyone who enjoys playing bridge for fun.
