Merkley is making rounds in the Bay Area

As part of his 100 Towns for Change Tour, democratic Senate candidate Jeff Merkley will be in the area Wednesday.
* At 8 a.m., at Lakeside City Hall on North Lake Road, he will meet with Mayor Orville Nelson about local issues.
* At 9:30 a.m., at Harbor Light Family Restaurant, 930 Highway 101, Reedsport, he will have coffee with community members and talk about energy costs.
* At 7 p.m., at Honeyman Park Meeting Hall on Canary Road in Florence, he will meet with citizens about restoring fiscal responsibility, a press release said.
Merkley is originally from Myrtle Creek, the son of a sawmill worker. He served as Oregon Speaker of the House.
