Bandon, a late entry into the Father’s Day Babe Ruth Tournament, came away with the top prize last weekend, beating Phoenix-Talent 9-4 in the championship game.
Bandon was added to the tournament field after one of two teams from Roseburg had to pull out.

They also scored two runs each, along with Conner Jackson, who had a triple among two hits and drove in two runs. Bennett had two hits on offense and Mack drove in two runs.
Bandon reached the championship game by edging Fourmile Logging 3-2 to win the B Bracket. Bandon also recorded shutout wins over both Central Point and Brookings by matching 10-0 scores.
Mack scored three runs in both of those games and Bandon’s pitchers did not allow a hit in either outing.
In the win over Fourmile Logging, Garth Gant had a pair of doubles and scored twice for Bandon. Mack also had two hits and Bennett pitched a complete-game five-hitter. Mack, Bandon’s catcher for the game, threw out two runners trying to steal second base.

In the third-place game, Fourmile Logging beat Upper Rogue 12-5.
Fourmile Logging bounced back from an early 5-1 deficit to take the win.
